Let’s see — Michigan’s economy is the worst in the nation and General Motors is swimming in red ink, but the business establishment in the state has lots of money to blow on the dissimulations of “One United Michigan.” Do they really think that ending racial preferences would be a bad thing, or do they just think that wasting some money in opposition to Prop 2 protects them against mau-mauing (to use Tom Wolfe’s venerable phrase) by the “civil rights” crowd?
