Both the Asheville Citizen-Times and the Hendersonville Times-News carried a story about “ire drawn” from Representative George Cleveland’s (R-Onslow) comment that nobody in the state is living in extreme poverty. Both articles focus on the ire of the same man. Lest we rush to our education about the economy bursting at the seams during the Great Recovery, we must recall all the emaciated children stuck in bed with flies swarming and only seven pairs of shoes, two smartphones, one i-pad, eight porcelain dolls, and all that jazz.
