The Orange County school system is encouraging parents and staff to attend upcoming budget sessions with county commissioners to advocate for the system’s budget request. There are even talking points that tell parents to include a personal story about their child and “if you are so inclined,”ask commissioners to raise taxes.
Interesting that the official position of the county school system — what it calls “full funding” of its budget request — would result in a tax increase that would make life tougher on families living in northern Orange — the very families the system says it needs to help. They need it, considering this story about home and land prices in the county.
