History Project Director, conduct their latest Citizen’s Constitutional Workshop in Wingate. Kickler discussed Robert E. Lee’s administration of Washington College — now Washington & Lee University — during a presentation this week to North Carolina State University’s Kappa Alpha and Sigma Kappa groups. The Charlotte Observer promoted the John Locke Foundation this week in editorial page editor Taylor Batten’s column on redistricting reform. Becki Gray, Vice President for Outreach, discussed legislative issues and current events during a pair of appearances on WTSB Radio. Mitch Kokai, Director of Communications, discussed highlights from this week’s legislative developments during a conversation with Curtis Wright on WAAV/WFNC Radio. The News & Observer mentioned JLF in a brief “Under the Dome” item about Wake County school board member John Tedesco’s upcoming appearance in an April 15 Tea Party event in Greensboro. A Business North Carolina article cited JLF support for lowering or eliminating the state corporate tax rate. Coverage of JLF Founding Chairman Art Pope continues to lead to publicity for the John Locke Foundation. A WRAL Television report and N&O article both cited JLF connections to Pope this week.
