Greensboro Coliseum director Matt Brown is working behind the scenes to secure city council votes to purchase the Canada Dry property.
Council member Sandra Anderson Groat doesn’t think much of Brown’s efforts:
“I think it’s really unusual for a department head to be so involved in the politics of our city government,” said Groat, who doesn’t support the project. “I just think it’s all extreme. It’s almost like it’s unnecessary.
“It’s overkill.”
At least we know Brown is doing something to earn his $200,000-plus salary.
Now that’s overkill. Someone please explain why this guy is the highest-paid city employee.
