First, a disclaimer. I am not a particular fan of Sarah Palin. Nor, obviously, do I object to news outlets quoting and interviewing those critical of her. That’s basic journalism.

But the juxtaposition of Palin coverage next to Michelle Obama coverage is a bit much. The CBS Early Show has come out with a report on Levi Johnston, the father of Bristol Palin’s child (video of the interview available here).

CBS’ Maggie Rodriguez asks some tough questions — tough on the Palins, that is — including whether the Palins were “snobby” and thought Levi wasn’t good enough for their daughter.

Compare that to the fawning coverage of Michelle in London.
