Yes, you could look at the way the Panthers ran the ball down the Lions’ throats Sunday and be happy. Or you could note that the Carolina defense let a guy two weeks out of retirement repeatedly drive the length of the field for scores and needed a stunning no-call on a goal-line facemask to avoid putting a shaky Jake on the field with a 24-24 tie late in the fourth.
