James Taranto shares this quote from John Kerry:

ought to take the money from the poor, the opportunities from the poor
and give them to the rich people.
At first I was impressed by the Senator’s ability to get throught
“the whole New Testament” in one day. But by the time I got to the end
I realized that in his desire to get through the material, he missed
the parable of the talents: “For to everyone who has, more shall be
given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not
have, even what he does have shall be taken away.”
