A Newsweek article adapted from the new book Ecological Intelligence tells us:

Author Daniel Goleman follows this statement with lines about global warming and harmful chemicals. It’s unfortunate that he does not follow Thomas Sowell‘s lead in recognizing the phenomenon of failing to “think beyond stage one.”
