That’s what an old friend of mine, Greg Kaza used to say. He served a few terms in the Michigan House and now runs the Arkansas Policy Foundation.

As evidence for his assertion, I point to this piece on NRO regarding efforts at casting a “town-hall meeting” with Obama and people who we’re supposed to think are a sampling of the American public. But of course, they won’t be. Obama wants carefully scripted events with friendly people. The last thing he wants is the possibility of probing questions and criticism. He handles that very poorly. (Just imagine if we had anything like the Prime Minister’s Question Time!) So the event will be staged.
