The city of Wilmington is considering paying more to “lure” workers away from Florida to remove hurricane debris. It seems that the silly workers are actually flocking to places where wages for the same amount of work are higher.
But the city may be sitting on debris for a little while longer. After all, the NC legislature passed an anti-price-gouging bill last summer.
It’s funny how the market takes care of things, even in a disaster.
