As government officials focus their attention on the problems associated with health care, they could adopt two types of changes, according to Regina Herzlinger, professor of business administration at the Harvard Business School.
One would put the government in charge of health-care decisions. The other would put those decisions in the hands of consumers. Herzlinger described the advantages of consumer-driven health care in a John Locke Foundation Headliner speech today in Raleigh.
