I just checked. Yesterday’s code orange for the Triangle was, once again, the result of one tripped monitor. This was the monitor in West Johnston County. With all this super-hot weather, the city of Raleigh has had no no high ozone days. I should also note that two years from now, when the American Lung Association finally gets around to including 2005 in its State of the Air Report, they will claim that the entire population of Raleigh was breathing unhealthy air on these days. Why would they do this? It’s ok to lie so long as it”s for a good cause. You know, the children and all that.
