You are correct! Charlotte’s train is moving away from the future into the past. Notice how Disney’s 1958 conception of the future features individualized transportation on highways. Reactionary leftists today want the opposite. They want to force us to become a “community” by forcing us to ride on 19th century trains and live in high-density “tenement” style housing.
Also notice that Disney envisioned the decentralized city that has come true to some extent with business and industry moving outside the center city to the suburbs. Disney is actually advocating “sprawl” as the ideal of the future. Finally, the Disney video links the highway to the progress of civilization. How true, how true!!
