G:boro: $7 million. Perhaps as much as $25 million when it’s all said and done. City Council members tell City Manager Rashad Young don’t raise property taxes.

Winston-Salem: $26 million. Mayor Allen Joines is seeking input form citizens on closing the gap. Again, careful what you ask for, you might get it.

Perhaps a good place to start would be to let Goler Community Development’s east side project go into foreclosure if they can’t make it work themselves.
