First, I’m a Miami fan, so I could be biased.
Having
said that, I completely agree that a one game suspension is
inappropriate, at least for the helmet waving and head stomping players
(even the NFL handed down a 5 game suspension recently for similar
behavior). However, I don’t think it will be a one game
suspension for many of the players–the schools will impose longer
suspensions–at least according to this article.
Actually,
if it wasn’t Miami, there would be less, not more, criticism and
national attention. Note how little is being said about FIU.
