Thank you for the reference to this earlier post. Upon reflection, it appears overly wordy.
The crux of my argument is this: Any time you’re asked to allow the government to take a larger chunk of your property, realize that your extra sacrifice funds government’s lowest priority.
Taxes are increased to preserve programs that face the budget ax when the additional tax revenue is unavailable.
