The N&R follows up on pay increases for City of Greensboro employees.
I’m having trouble following the logic that G’boro’s pay disparity makes it harder to attract employees, especially in this economy, especially when most of the affected positions are entry-level.
And don’t get me wrong —- I’m not against city employees getting raises —they have to feed their families, too —-but council Danny Thompson is right to ask where the money is. Seems like we’re always asking that question whenever a city wants to do something it’s actually supposed to do.
