In addition to the Democratic Party response to Tom Fetzer’s news conference this afternoon, Marc Farinella of the Bev Perdue committee submits the following statement:
?The Republican Party is desperately trying to resurrect a story that was already reported months ago. Bev Perdue has has brought an unprecedented level of transparency and accountability to North Carolina government and politics, and we are confident that these expenditures were handled appropriately. In fact, the State Board of Elections has even already said it will be reviewed as part of its routine audit conducted at the conclusion of every campaign.?
