Sorry, Joe, but putting “John Edwards” and “courage” in the same sentence is like putting “Mick Jagger” and “satisfaction” together: man, it just doesn’t work without the phrase “can’t get no.” We’re talking about a guy who thinks he should earn a merit badge for being afraid of Fox News.

Instead, the title should be John Edwards Banal ? as in his apparently well-practiced ability to speak vapidly, as if he’s sloganeering for bumper stickers or writing an eighth-grade girl’s journal entry.

This is, after all, the candidate who deliberately chose “Tomorrow Begins Today“as his campaign theme. So earnest; so bland; so trite:
