The Wake County Board of Commissioners voted against the proposal, but rural counties will likely win this vote. Say hey to the 8-cent sales tax (8.5 cents in Charlotte).
What
frustrates me the most about this? The House Subcommittee on Medicaid
gave NCACC carte blanche to offer ways the state could save money
within Medicaid. But NCACC is too focused on new revenue streams than
about actually doing something that will help counties, the state, and
taxpayers.
Ow, that wall hurts.
UPDATE: NCACC chose not to decide.
