I think we should call this “argument” the “envy card.” If CEOs get more money (by agreement), then to satisfy the envy of socialists, we should forcibly require that firms pay minimum-wage workers more.
That is really feeble minded stuff, but it shows that the contest here isn’t logic versus logic, but logic versus emotion.
