To quote my friend Randy in times like these, I weep.
I may have to change my mind about wanting economics taught in government schools. That last question reads like this:
3. A large elephant in a room, such as an enraged adult male elephant, usually results in smashing of everything in the room and the stamping of any people and small animals therein. Despite this outcome, which of the following is often the primary economic motivation for a government to have large elephants in rooms?
A. The government is responding to help local elephant providers.
B. The government is responding to help local homeowners.
C. The government wants to increase the demand for elephants.
D. The government wants to raise revenue by creating more broken windows, doors, bookshelves, furniture, etc.
