George, there is fatal flaw in this “study” that even sports reporters have pounced on.
It was done by reviewing box scores, not game tapes.
The race of the members of the 3-ref crew was noted, as was the race of the players. The number of fouls was tallied. Some math was performed. Study.
In other words, in a racially mixed crew — which the study itself says is the majority case in the NBA, making up 67 percent of all crews — the study tells else nothing about which race called fouls on the players.
You could have nothing but black refs calling fouls on black players and nothing but white refs calling fouls on white players.
Of course, the racial bean counters want to get their hands on precisely ref-by-ref foul data from the NBA so they can “prove” whatever “racialized decisions” they want to.
And get used to that phrase “racialized decision” it will soon take over when claims of racial discrimination cannot possibly float.
It is all part of the new push to guilt trip millions of decent Americans into funding continued left-wing wealth transfers.
