In Hal’s article he makes an important point (actually he makes many). He states:

“Public accountability for publicly funded agencies is the only responsible approach for the state to take when spending the taxpayers’ money…On the other hand, according to Secretary of Administration Gwynn Swinson, parents who provide private (including home) education for their children save the state $980 million annually… Further, home and private school families pay the same taxes that all citizens pay, a net benefit to the public system.”

A querry to my voucher loving conservative and libertarian friends…how would you argue against this DPI takeover in a world where “private” schools were getting government money?
