Thanks for linking to Tim Carney’s great analysis of the fight over for-profit colleges. The John Locke Foundation and Pope Center for Higher Education have been commenting and writing about this fight for some time. For-profit universities do no worse than many community colleges and public universities in North Carolina, but they are like the mortgage brokers in the housing bubble getting rich at the expense of taxpayers.
