Jon, I sort of made that point in the second paragraph of my post. But what it boils down to, is, there was no study! Just an assumption. Still, assumptions made by one of the largest circulation newspapers in the country are worthy of commentary and refutation, especially when you know they are shared by millions of their readers.

And it’s also worth noting when there are grains of truth, which there were in that article. For example, I was (except in its final year or two) a faithful viewer of “Frasier,” which from time to time could make me feel conflicted as a Christian. The title character slept around quite a bit. Sometimes I wondered whether I should be feeding my mind with that subject matter just for a few yuks.

But even though I could laugh at some bawdiness, I still want ethical political leaders. So, cast me in with those hypocritical red-state voters.
