This goes way back but it was the first one that jumped into my mind: Joni James Sings Songs of Hank Williams.
This was an album my father had and played all the time in the early
’60s. I think it came out in 1959. I know it’s heresy, but when I think of the song “Cold, Cold Heart” I hear pop songstress Joni’s version instead of old Hank’s.
