You know the facts, here’s what they mean.

To review, the N.C. Board of Elections referred matters involving Michael Decker and the eye-doc PAC to Wake County prosecutors for review. It took no action on Jim Black. The board then opted not to reconvene next week, but mid-March instead. Why?

It certainly looks like the 30-day window is intended to give Black one last chance to go quietly. The board really does not want to refer matters involving the Speaker of the General Assembly to law enforcement. That would alert any and all to what a cesspool state government has become, not to mention result in some bad PR for a spin-sensitve state.

The next few weeks should be interesting.
