The Charlotte Observer, May 21st 2007:

Correction

The May 15 column by Frank Koconis said SCAT, a group advocating repeal of Mecklenburg County’s half-cent sales tax for transit, wants to kill the light rail line between Charlotte and Pineville. In fact, SCAT wants to stop the current transit plan from going forward, but not the South corridor line already under construction.

Would it be mean to point out that this correction is still wrong? The 9.6 mile South corridor line does not run to Pineville. Even CATS does not claim that. We pointed out that the last stop is inside 485 last week in detailing all of Koconis’ many errors.

Oh, well. Declare victory and move on.

Next target, Edd Hauser’s little propaganda stop on WFAE this morning……….
