The big story continues to be the gas shortages. One sees an occasional abandoned car at the roadside. I am late posting because city council didn’t let out until 11:00, and my gas tank was on empty. After 45 minutes of looking for an open gas station, I gave up.

The meeting lasted so long because council wanted to tell a developer who had sunk half a million dollars into getting a nod from the Technical Review Committee, city staff, the Downtown Commission, Planning and Zoning, and who knows what all, that the project didn’t make the grade. They also want to find a way to make property owners responsible for graffiti – again.
