Townhall.com blogger Dan Mitchell points out that a Swiss canton has decided that a regressive tax system is best for its future:

As reported by Tax-news.com,
the tax rate is 8 percent for those making less than 70,000 francs and
falls to 1 percent for those making more than 300,000 francs. The
voters of Obwalden decided that their future would be more prosperous
if they could attract more rich people and create a better climate for
wealth creation.
