Today is a Day that has a big meaning to the United States and to North
Carolina,
because the 82nd airborne, which is stationed at Fort Bragg, had a big
impact on the D-Day invasion in 1944. It is a day in the history of
our nation that has a great meaning, because freedom was protected by
brave souls on that day and they need not be forgotten, even Hollywood
has made a few films on remembering the Veterans of D-Day, and the
Longest Day is one of my favorites.
