This event should be very interesting. From Roll Call comes news of an Oxford-style debate on the minimum wage.

The opposing parties in this case include Cato Institute Vice President James Dorn and Hoover Institution research fellow
Russell Roberts, on the side of abolishing the minimum wage, facing off against Karen Kornbluh, former U.S. ambassador to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and Jared Bernstein, former chief economist for Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr.

John  Locke Foundation Vice President for Research, Roy Cordato, discusses the minimum wage here. For me, the saddest part about continued efforts to raise the minimum wage is that its supporters – despite good intentions – fail to realize that it often hurts the very people they’re trying to help.
