Ron Paul, who is pretty much alone as a member of Congress who comprehends the proper role of government, writes a nice tribute to Milton Friedman here.

Here’s one excellent sentence: “The nation would be well-served if Congress spent more time reading the works of Milton Friedman and less time worrying about petty party spoils.” Yes, but we’re more likely to see palm trees sprouting at the South Pole (even with global warming) than a time when politicians, unfettered by either conscience or constitutional restraints, will give up their addiction to the spoils of politics.
