Greensboro Police Department news release:
Greensboro Police Officers are currently investigating a reported shooting in the 1000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Guilford Metro 911 received a report of drive-by shooting at 2:33pm. The victim of the shooting was transported to Cone Hospital via private vehicle before police arrived. Officers were on scene at the hospital when the victim arrived. They were able to determine the victim is a male juvenile. He is listed in critical condition and currently being treated. GPD Detectives have been notified and are responding to continue the investigation. No further information is being released at this time due to the investigation being currently in progress. Further details will be provided for the media when available.
