Guarino notes that King Justice Allah Wray (we could go lots of places with that name) and Dominique Menser —- charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon on Saturday —– are products of Greensboro’s “revolving door justice.”

Interesting that the N&R’s online version is slightly different from the blurb in this morning’s print edition, which emphasizes the language barrier between the perps and the would-be robbery victim:

Lack of Spanish leads to failed try to rob a tire store

GREENSBORO — Two men were arrested Saturday night after a robbery attempt was thwarted by the assailants’ failure to understand Spanish.

…A worker at 24/7 Tire derailed the robbery after three men approached him outside. One of the men, armed with a handgun, demanded the money.

The employee “yelled in Spanish to his co-worker that business was being robbed,” police said Sunday.

The second employee emerged with a shotgun, frightening the would-be robbers who fled on foot. Police arrested Menser and Wray.

The shotgun needed no translation.
