Greensboro Coliseum officials teased us with promise of a “historical announcement” yesterday afternoon. If you’ve lived in Gboro long enough, you know that could mean most anything. Drum roll please —Paul McCartney will play the Greensboro Coliseum Oct. 30.
Biz Journal’s Owen Covington has the inside scoop on the fanfare leading up the announcement, complete with an afternoon high tea, the Union Jack and a guy dressed as a Grenedier guard. Note Covington writes that “people chuckled nervously that the coliseum was about to announce a reunion of the British group The Spice Girls.”
Like I said, if you’ve lived here long enough you know an “historical announcement” can mean most anything.
