Bryan Walsh at time.com searches for the truth in Climategate. His search starts and ends where you would expect: pushing the urgent need for some kind of new global treaty in Copenhagen.

Along the way, he provides the following summary of Judith Curry’s post at climateaudit.org, though no link to the blog itself.

Judith Curry, an atmospheric scientist at Georgia Tech, wrote in a much discussed blog post that researchers need to make climate data much more open and transparent, and that scientists need to be wary of falling into what she calls “climate tribalism.” She argues that mainstream climate scientists are now resorting to the same smear tactics that skeptics have long used against climate scientists

Of course, referring to one group as “skeptics” and another as “climate scientists” is not a smear. That’s just solid reporting at Time.
