During the budget discussion at tonight’s Asheville City Council meeting, the WLOS camera was blocking the projection screen for half the room. Presenting was the city’s DPW, Cathy Ball, whom I respect very much. Ball kept referring the audience to the obscured images as she discussed why council might consider raising taxes an additional 2%. It was for community and economic development purposes, transformative projects for an aspirational vision. You, as a member of the audience are allowed to request a point of personal privilege.
