As the N.C. Senate Commerce Committee debated legislation that would cap North Carolina’s renewable energy mandate and subsidies to the solar energy industry, senators heard testimony from John Locke Foundation Vice President for Outreach Becki Gray. The Raleigh News and Observer and noted JLF’s interest in the renewable energy mandate.

Director of Education Outreach Lindalyn Kakadelis discussed academic standards and the State Board of Education’s work during a presentation for the Davidson County Republican Women’s Club. Kakadelis co-hosted a school choice forum with Ebenezer United Church of Christ in Burlington. She also discussed trends in public school teacher turnover with Lockwood Phillips on WTKF’s “Viewpoints Radio.”
