Michael Barone is one of four men, and one of two John Locke Foundation Headliners, who will collect Bradley Prizes today.

Other winners are Wall Street Journal editorial page editor Paul Gigot, Center for Competitive Politics chairman Bradley Smith, and Stanford economist John Taylor.

In addition to Barone, Smith has spoken for John Locke Foundation audiences in the past, including a joint JLF/Federalist Society event on taxpayer-financed election campaigns in March 2009.

Smith also discussed with Carolina Journal Radio the problems associated with efforts to spend tax dollars on politicians’ campaigns.
