The election campaign has attracted attention to the work of the John Locke Foundation and its major publication, Carolina Journal. In the recent Greensboro News & Record election guide, Republican Secretary of State candidate Jack Sawyer cited the Locke Foundation in listing his campaign goals. One goal: “Cut wasteful spending by eliminating departmental waste as identified by the John Locke Foundation.” Meanwhile, a recent edition of the Beaufort-Hyde News quoted the Hyde County Republican Party chair, Iris Falkson, who spoke at a local political dinner discussion. “Falkson encouraged those attending to go online to obtain up-to-date political news. She recommended Carolina Journal.com.”
