Last Friday’s column by Raleigh News & Observercolumnist Barry Saunders offers a compelling reminder that each of us has a responsibility to mentor kids and give back to our communities. While he’s writing about his plans to help African-American kids via involvement in a group called 100 Black Men of the Triangle, his message is universal regardless of race, gender, ethnic background or social status.
