As North Carolina approaches 2016, the state’s economic and budget pictures look much better than they did just a few years ago. State Budget Director Lee Roberts shared that message today in a presentation for the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society.
Roberts used a series of data points to highlight the state’s recent improvements and made the fiscal case for the Connect NC bond package on the March 15 primary ballot. He also touted recent McCrory administration reforms, including the Project Phoenix program of identifying unused and underused state properties that can be returned to the private sector.
