Who really cares about Nancy Grace?

Williamson: If these statements had not been made by Nifong, how would the defense had conducted itself differently?

Bannon: Significantly. We can respond to publicity not initiated by us, the defense. What was different here is that Nifong, with all his authority, said a crime happened, a rape happened, they did it, and those who didn’t were aiders and abettors. Not sure there was anything they could do to overcome that.

Williamson: But what if he hadn’t made those statements? Bannon: Nifong renewed the comments again and again.

Williamson: Answer my question. Bannon: Responses would have been more limited to what happened at the time and what we were responding to.

Bannon should just say that the actions they would have taken would have been dictated by the circumstances and leave it at that.

He mentions all the publicity and mentions Nancy Grace, and adds: “Who really cares about Nancy Grace?” That brings a lot of laughter.
