For Obamacare to work, power lies amongst the states.  Obamacare has not been working, is not working, and will not work as long as states keep saying “NO”.

  • Half of states have rejected Medicaid Expansion.
  • Only 17 States along with D.C. have opted to set up state-run health insurance exchanges
  • Since the passage of Obamacare, favorability amongst voters has dropped from 47% to 37%

Noncompliance will stall the implementation dates regarding the key provisions of Medicaid Expansion and Health Insurance Exchanges.  And the media capture the frustrations and finger-pointings amongst the law’s major architects and proponents.  The National Review Online reports:

HHS secretary Kathleen Sebelius complained this month that “no one fully anticipated” the difficulties involved in setting up Obamacare. She blamed obstructionist Republicans for engaging in “state-by-state political battles” to slow down the creation of health-care exchanges.

Meanwhile, Democratic Senator Max Baucus of Montana, one of the major architects of Obamacare, criticizes Sebelius for not providing enough information in a timely manner to the public and small businesses on the national reform:

I’m very concerned not enough is being done so far. When I’m home, small business have no idea what to do, what to expect. . . . As you well know, a lot of people have no idea about this. . . . I just see a huge train wreck coming down. I don’t see any results yet.

The train wreck is only a matter of time.  It doesn’t appear that the law will increase in popularity as health insurance premiums are supposed to increase anywhere from 32-80% under the law’s heavily regulated health insurance marketplace.
