Done.

Too many bad decisions have caught up with the franchise. You can point to a player or a hire here or there since the 2005 NFC championship game as boneheaded, but really the overarching problem is a misplaced loyalty in a business based solely on performance. This was the Foxy-Marty interpretation of doing things the Richardson way.

The painful irony is that the Big Cat himself too late realized the error of this approach and cut loose his own weak link sons from the organization. As a result the Panthers will head into a possible lock-out year with an old and overpaid roster, one that includes no long-term solution at QB. In sum, the Panthers will very much resemble an expansion team — albeit one without a first-round draft pick.

The Panthers will not make the playoffs this year — or the next. And I have my doubts about the year after that.

Update: I see here that Scott Fowler is two weeks late in calling for Matt Moore to get the start. Scott, I hereby dub thee Fortnight Fowler for always being about two weeks late on the uptake.
