North Carolina just keeps throwing good money at this Amazon HQ2 effort. Now, it’s $92,400 for an ad campaign on Seattle buses about North Carolina Firsts.
Look, I love North Carolina as much as anyone. We’re awesome. We’ve done lots of great things. But why exactly are we spending so much money on an unlikely bid to win the Amazon HQ2, a project that would cost us enormous amounts of money in all kinds of different incentives and tax breaks and grants and credits were we to win in? It’s a terrible deal for taxpayers.
Please, Department of Commerce, just stop!
