I find it interesting to catch the subtle ways the media demonstrates it biases, rather than the blatant. One I caught today was on the home page of the New York Times (the newspaper John Hood said last week that somebody had to read, but he was glad it wasn’t him!).

If you scroll down just a bit where they link their editorials & op-eds, which appear on the right side, you will see that they have linked two of their house columnists, William Safire and Bob Herbert, which is regular practice for the Times. They always only show those two links in that space, daily. However, they must of been really charged about an op-ed contributed by former EPA secretary Christie Todd Whitman, because today she was linked also. Why would the Times link a third op-ed today? Likely because the “moderate” Whitman’s opinion was that the GOP needs to pay attention to “The Vital Republican Center,” and not those “shrill” voices from “extremists” (i.e., conservatives) in the party.

By the way, did you know the Times was once “A Great Christian Newspaper?”(scroll down just a bit)
